Düsseldorf — ARQIS advised Shimadzu Corporation on the acquisition of all shares in infraserv Vakuumservice GmbH, a specialist in the maintenance of turbomolecular pumps in Europe. infraserv Vakuumservice has become a wholly owned subsidiary of Shimadzu.
With 25 employees, infraserv Vakuumservice generated net sales of 4.9 million euros in 2017. The company is based near Munich and services the vacuum systems of major semiconductor and equipment manufacturers in Europe. It has high technical competence and good relations with its customers. Shimadzu has already outsourced service work for turbomolecular pumps to infraserv Vakuumservice.
The acquisition is a step towards further developing Shimadzu’s European turbomolecular pump business and strengthening local sales activities and technical support.
