Frankfurt/Düsseldorf — McDermott Will & Emery has advised software investor Main Capital Partners on the acquisition of DATA-PLAN Computer Consulting GmbH as an add-on investment by MACH AG.
MACH AG, an e‑government software and consulting company based in Lübeck, has been one of Main Capital’s portfolio companies since 2020. — DATA-PLAN Computer Consulting GmbH is an IT system house with a focus on public administration. The company employs around 50 people at its Stuttgart and Chemnitz sites.
Main Capital is a strategic investor focusing on the software sector in the Benelux, DACH region and Scandinavia, with offices in The Hague, Düsseldorf and Stockholm. Main Capital manages approximately €1 billion in assets for investment in mature and growing software companies.
McDermott had already advised Main Capital on the acquisition of Mach AG. The team led by Frankfurt partner Norman Wasse has particular expertise in software and tech transactions and has advised, among others, Investcorp Technology Partners on the acquisition and subsequent sale of Avira and Ratiodata AG on the acquisition of the Accesa Group.
