The German Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVK) is the representative of the German private equity industry, covering private equity firms from venture capital through growth capital to buy-outs, as well as institutional investors. The BVK represents 300 members, of which 200 are private equity and venture capital firms, almost 100 consultancy and law firms that work with private equity firms. It is the mission of the BVK to create a most favourable environment for the private equity industry in Germany. This requires improving tax and legal conditions for private equity in Germany in a dialogue with political and administrative decision-makers, facilitating access to capital sources, analysing market trends, and supporting our members in exchanging their experiences. To achieve this, systematic industry communication is fundamental like that which the BVK pursues together with its members.
It is the mission of the BVK to (1) foster a better understanding of the private equity business among the general public, (2) support its members in communicating their business, (3) promote cooperation between its members, (4) cooperate with institutions and associations at national and international levels.
It is the objective of the BVK to (1) create the best possible environment for private equity in Germany. This includes to (2) sort out tax and legal obstacles, (3) facilitate the search for and access to private equity funds, (4) survey markets and analyse market trends, (5) promote the exchange of experience among our members, (6) issue publications on private equity in Germany.
