Berlin — Software company Jobpal has sold all its shares in the company to US-based HR tech provider SmartRecruiters. SmartRecruiters is tapping into the robot-driven recruitment process automation (RPA) market through the acquisition. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. An SMP team led by partner Malte Bergmann, photo, advised on the exit together with UK law firm Withers.

Founded in 2016 as a startup by a German team, Jobpal is a software company developing on AI-powered chatbots that automate communication between employers and applicants. Jobpal currently employs around 25 people.

SmartRecruiters is a recruiting software provider headquartered in San Francisco with additional locations in Poland, Germany, UK and France. The company was founded in 2010 by Jerome Ternynck.
