ICG was originally founded in 2021 with the acquisition of Infratech by H.I.G. Europe. Infratech builds complex FTTx networks for public and private network operators in Germany. The Group was initially expanded through the acquisition of comcross, a leading provider of infrastructure for mobile telecommunications in Germany. The companies were supplemented by the acquisitions of Schwan, Triple A, Deutsche Funkbau (each a provider of telecommunications solutions) and the planning office DPE. Gleiss Lutz advised H.I.G. and ICG on all transactions. Today, ICG employs more than 700 people at 16 locations in Germany, the Netherlands and Croatia.
