Frankfurt a. Main — Neosfer, the early-stage investor of Commerzbank, participates in the EUR 3 million financing round of the start-up Vamo. Also involved are the newly formed Cologne-based VC Realyze Ventures and Caesar Ventures from Munich. Prominent angel investors from the German start-up scene, including McMakler & MAYD founder Hanno Heintzenberg, Valentin Sawadski, founder of Tado, or Max Schroeren, founder of Enter, complete the round.
The founding team of Vamo, Laurenz Ohlig, Falk Hantl and Dr. Jan Ossenbrink, follows the vision of advancing the heat transition in Germany and focuses on the trendy topic of heat pumps. The advantage of this technology is that it is mature and has the potential to decarbonize the building sector in the near future. What is missing from Vamo’s point of view is speed in the installation of the heat pumps.
Vamo is a specialist company operating throughout Germany, specializing in heat pumps, and has set itself the goal of accelerating the heat transition in Germany. In addition to the consistent digitalization of sales, logistics and installation processes, Vamo is also working on its own software for the operation of heat pumps. The capital raised in the financing round is to be used to scale the core business.
As a wholly owned subsidiary and early-stage investor of Commerzbank, neosfer benefits from in-depth industry know-how for the implementation of innovative solutions. The company was founded in 2013 and employs 35 people.
