Cinven acquires MBCC Admixtures from Sika
Frankfurt a.M. — Private equity investor Cinven has acquired MBCC Admixtures, the concrete admixtures business of MBCC Group, from Sika AG. McDermott Will & Emery advised the new management of MBCC Admixtures on the transaction. MBCC Admixtures is headquartered in Mannheim, Germany, and employs more than 1,600 people at 35 production sites worldwide. The company supplies chemicals for concrete production and civil engineering.
The Swiss construction chemicals group Sika AG has subsidiaries in 101 countries and generated annual sales of nearly CHF 10.5 billion in 2022 with 27,500 employees. Sika had acquired MBCC Group — the former construction chemicals business of BASF — in 2021. MBCC Group has more than 30,000 customers and business partners around the world. It consists of some 70 companies worldwide and employs around 7,500 construction experts in over 60 countries.
