Düsseldorf — ARQIS accompanied the second financing round at Neodigital Versicherung AG, a digital property and casualty insurer from Neunkirchen, on the side of the existing investors, coparion and the SchneiderGolling Group. In addition to ALSTIN Capital, Mr. Carsten Maschmeyer’s venture capital fund (photo), Deutsche Rückversicherung AG also participated. The parties have agreed not to disclose the amount of the investment.
Neodigital was founded in 2016 by Dirk Wittling and Stephen Voss as a consistently digitized insurance company and was the first completely digital insurance company with a BaFin license in the German market. With market-leading digital processes and an individually configurable insurance building block, Neodigital offers the market an insurance-as-a-service model that is unparalleled in terms of modularity and performance. As an insurer, Neodigital works with a high degree of automation in ongoing operations and claims processing. But also through digital end-to-end communication, Neodigital is a pioneer in a market that is often only oriented towards new business and recommends itself as an alternative to pure inventory management systems.
Market participants can use Neodigital to quickly and easily develop their own completely digitized insurance products and launch them on the market immediately. In order to catch up digitally, the insurance industry in Germany will be even more dependent on digital as-a-service solutions in the future.
“We are very pleased that our completely digital approach has not only convinced customers, sales partners and other insurance companies, but that we have also been able to inspire new investors with our unique insurance-as-a-service model,” explains Stephen Voss, Founder and Chief Marketing and Sales Officer of Neodigital. “The expanded group of investors confirms the success of our end-to-end digital business model and allows us — just one and a half years after entering the market — to significantly expand our offering.”
Dr. Jörn-Christian Schulze’s team regularly advises both clients; together, for example, on their entry into Neodigital. SG Group most recently on a divestment to Clark and coparion on numerous venture investments.
