Zug, Switzerland — Bregal Unternehmerkapital (“BU”), one of the most active and
the largest private equity firm in the DACH region with a strong presence in Italy, announces the closing of its fourth fund, Bregal Unternehmerkapital IV (“Fund IV”), with capital commitments totaling EUR2.65 billion. Fund IV was significantly oversubscribed and closed successfully at its hard cap.
As with the previous fund generations, Fund IV also achieved a high level of demand and was again able to attract several families and founders as part of the more than 30 new investors.

To date, the funds advised by BU have invested over EUR 3.0 billion in more than 100 company successions in the SME sector with over 27,000 employees. More than 7,700 jobs were created in the process. Many entrepreneurs from the BU investments are also invested in Fund IV.
