Berlin — Raue has advised the Turin and Berlin-based technology start-up Tau ACT GmbH (“Tau”) on the extension of its Series B financing round from 2023 (Series B Extension) with a volume of EUR 11 million. This time, CDP Venture Capital and Santander Alternative Investments joined Tau as new lead investors. CDP Venture Capital is an asset management company that manages 13 investment funds with a total volume of over EUR 3 billion that support young companies in all phases of their life cycle. Santander Alternative Investments, part of Santander Asset Management, manages alternative investment funds with a volume of two billion euros.
Tau has established itself as an innovative supplier to the automotive industry and has set a new global standard for winding wire for e‑mobility. Tau reached an important commercial milestone when its wire products completed validation processes for several automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in Europe, Asia and North America. Tau is currently expanding its production capacities and preparing for CO2-neutral production of winding wire in Italy.
Raue advised Tau comprehensively on all legal issues in connection with the financing round. Raue had already advised the startup comprehensively in its Series A and B financing rounds in 2020, 2021 and 2023.
