Hamburg / Berlin / Oisterwijk — LionsHome, together with its majority shareholder Waterland Private Equity, is working at full speed on the further development of a European digital publishing group: Following the successful integration of the product comparison platform Fashiola, LionsHome has now acquired the Dutch operator of deal & coupon portals Franke Media B.V..
LionsHome GmbH from Berlin, which has been in existence since 2014, has developed into a leading product comparison platform for Home & Living and is now one of the largest European furnishing portals with over three million users in ten countries every month. In 2022, the majority investment by growth investor Waterland marked the start of the development of a leading European commerce content group that will aggregate a wide range of digital publishing models, e‑commerce & e‑service verticals, and geographic markets under one roof. A first milestone in this strategy was reached within a very short time in mid-2022 with the acquisition of Fashiola, which makes the online offerings of a large number of leading fashion brands comparable for its users in more than 25 countries.
Franke Media, a leading operator of deal & coupon portals, has now joined the group as its newest member, having built the most visited discount websites in the Netherlands and Belgium since its inception in 2012. On Acties.nl and Deals.be, every month more than 1.5 million unique visitors find coupons and promotions that come from partnerships with major national and international brands such as bol.com, Amazon, ASOS, H&M, Nike and HEMA. The seller of the shares is founder Vince Franke, who will remain on board as CEO of Franke Media and will take a reverse stake in the Group as part of the transaction.
