Shareholders of bgm baugrundberatung sell to VINCI Energies
Hungen/ Wetzlar — Nachfolgekontor, in association with sonntag corporate finance a leading German M&A consulting boutique with a focus on medium-sized successions, accompanies bgm baugrundberatung GmbH (“bgm”, photo © bmg), specialized in soil and subsoil investigation, in the successful sale of the company to VINCI Energies. bgm will henceforth operate under the guise of Omexom — VINCI Energies’ brand for energy infrastructures.
Founded in 2008 by Mathias Müssig, bgm specializes in soil and subsoil investigations. The company offers consulting services in the fields of engineering geology, investigation of contaminated sites, geothermal energy, preservation of evidence as well as control tests in the field of earthworks and compaction controls in asphalt paving.
“With the added expertise of bgm, we are expanding our portfolio in overhead line construction for subsoil investigations at pylon sites. Companies in this market segment are rare and we are pleased to be able to offer our customers a wide range of planning services,” says Dr. Jochen Röhm, Omexom Division Manager, into whose division the company will be integrated. “We warmly welcome the team of bgm as a new member in our Omexom family and wish all colleagues a successful start.”
“We are convinced that in VINCI Energies we have found a buyer that provides our company with the right framework for continued growth and future development. We are delighted to become part of VINCI Energies. On the one hand, this will enable us to benefit from a network of specialists and share and, on the other, strengthen our own competencies,” says Mathias Müssig, who will remain on the management board with Jörn Martini as head of the new business unit.
“The entire construction and energy industry is facing a radical change, or is already experiencing it to a large extent. With VINCI Energies, bgm will have a strong strategic partner at its side in the future, which will certainly contribute to the further development of the company,” sums up Sebastian Wissig, project manager at Nachfolgekontor. “Due to the common strategic goals of bgm and VINCI Energies, the process was very constructive on both sides from the very beginning, so that we were able to work out a good and future-oriented solution in close coordination with all parties and successfully conclude the transaction,” adds Philipp Panther, project employee at Nachfolgekontor and part of the team around Sebastian Wissig.
