Frankfurt a. Main — The Frankfurt office of the international law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP advised Inven Capital SICAV, a.s. (“INVEN CAPITAL”) on its investment in tado GmbH (“tado°”). In addition to new investor noventic group, existing investors such as INVEN CAPITAL, Amazon, Target Partners, Eon and Total also participated in the 38 million euro financing round.
Munich-basedtado° is the European market leader for intelligent indoor climate management and was founded in 2011. In the meantime, tado° employs 180 people.
INVEN CAPITAL is the venture capital arm of the ČEZ Group, whose investment focus is on investments in clean-tech and new-energy companies.
Weil’s Frankfurt office regularly advises INVEN on its investments, such as its recent investment in the logistics start-up Forto GmbH, financing rounds at Zolar GmbH, the sale of its stake in the home battery storage provider sonnen to Shell Overseas Investment B.V. and its investment in the start-up Cloud&Heat Technologies GmbH, as well as the latest financing round at Sunfire GmbH.
