“With our banking as a platform concept, we are shaping the future of the financial industry. This innovative approach has convinced international industry leaders in the financial and technology world to use the Series B investment round to participate in our business model and growth. I am excited about the potential for further cooperation in Germany and international markets that we can leverage together with these strong partners,” says Dr. Roland Folz (photo), CEO of solarisBank AG.
Founded by company builder Finleap in March 2016, solarisBank was one of the first financial technology companies with a full banking license. Since then, the company has established its Banking as a Platform concept internationally. solarisBank is currently active in seven European countries. Currently, around 60 corporate customers use the banking platform. By the end of the year, that number is expected to grow to more than 100.
The product offering was expanded to three product lines within the first two years: In addition to Digital Banking & Cards services, solarisBank also offers financing and credit services as well as payment and trustee services for corporate customers via interface (API) . These services are used by companies such as the credit portal smava, the digital ABN AMRO brand Moneyou, the comparison portal Verivox, the banking solution Kontist or the voucher provider fashioncheque.
The newly raised capital supports solarisBank on its further growth course and will be used for the expansion of the technological platform, the products and for further geographical expansion. All investors have an outstanding international profile and diverse strengths, from which solarisBank can benefit enormously in its further development.
