Gibson Dunn advises EMK Capital on add-on acquisitions of Garda Group
Frankfurt / Munich — Gibson Dunn has advised EMK Capital in connection with the acquisition of a group of companies in the security technology sector, consisting of four German medium-sized companies, by the Garda Group supported by EMK Capital. The parties have agreed not to disclose details of the transaction.
The newly founded group of companies comprises the Gleich Group from Aschaffenburg, the vi2vi Group from near Karlsruhe, Schmid Alarm GmbH from Munich and the Freihoff Group from Langenfeld. The merger is intended to create one of the largest security service providers in Germany.
EMK is a UK-based private equity firm that invests in mid-market companies where it can support growth and transformation. In June 2023, EMK announced the acquisition and consolidation of the Garda Group, the largest provider of security solutions in Northern Europe. In April 2024, the Garda Group took over the Freihoff Group, followed by the acquisition of the Gleich Group, the vi2vi Group and Schmid Alarm GmbH.
