Munich — The private equity investor AUCTUS has acquired the a1-envirosciences Group, which includes a1-envirosciences GmbH of Düsseldorf and a1-envirosciences Ltd. of Warrington (UK). The seller was the British company Diploma plc. AUCTUS acquires a1 Group to support its continued organic growth by, among other things, adding new product lines and entering additional geographic areas. In addition, growth is also to be accelerated through acquisitions of further laboratory supply specialists by way of a Europe-wide buy-and-build concept.
a1-envirosciences is a respected specialist in medical testing and analysis technology, as well as quarantine technology for medical laboratories. a1 has locations in Germany, Great Britain, France, Belgium and the Netherlands. In this context, a1’s business model includes consulting, sales, user training and maintenance of sold systems in order to provide a comprehensive service.
